This is Reader Mode

Welcome!

Hey! πŸ‘‹ Welcome to Reader Mode. I’m Ryzal, the creator of Reader Mode. This is a brief overview of how Reader Mode got started, and where it’s heading.

Let’s Start From The Beginning

So the first line of code written for Reader Mode was in middle of September, 2019. So, during the time this blogpost is written, it'll be the one year anniversary for Reader Mode 😊

It started as a weekend project and as a means of helping me to get some extra money to pay for my bills and food. As I continue developing it, I then see more and more people telling me how Reader Mode has helped them so much in improving their readability and productivity. With many of them really thankful for the dyslexia support, read-it-later and research tools that I included. Thus giving me a realization on how much this tool that I built can benefits a lot of people out there.

From there, I decided to invest a proper amount of time, and making it my mission and vision into providing people with the best reading and research experience on the web ✨

Right Now

Fast forward 1 year later, Reader Mode has grown so much! It has been featured in a lot of publications and are being use by thousands of people around the world! It is also now, half way from being a ramen-profitable microstartup!

Thus I'm deciding to start making a blog for Reader Mode so that people could follow along the journey I'm making with this app. Also of course, it will great for SEO and letting more people to discover Reader Mode :)

Going Forward

There's indeed a lot going on right now. I wanted to explore and expanding a lot of verticals for Reader Mode so that it could really be the best all-in-one reading toolkit. While doing that, I also need to start doing more marketing on Reader Mode.

As I am only one person managing all of this, you could see how much efforts, energy and time require to grow this app to it's full potential.

But, I am excited!

This is the first time ever in my 10 years of developing many projects/apps that I've achived this level of success. And I want this to be taken to the next level, making this my full-time work and providing a lifelong service for my users.

I really appreciate you joining me on this journey. This is just a beginning :)

Stay tuned!

Ryzal✌️
